I really like the way online stores are catering to all sorts of needs of people nowadays. So far, the sites hoarding makeup and skincare products were the most popular ones to us ladies. But of late I came across the website www.48craft.com and was pleasantly surprised with its plethora of interesting  and beautiful articles-which comprise entirely of Indian traditional arts and crafts. I am really amazed to see the wide variety of products in a number of categories and at very reasonable pricing in this website and so sharing it with you.

Well these were actually my mom's recommendations-and she is really happy with the products that we received. Here's discussing some of the features of this online shopping website.

1) The products are all based on Indian handicrafts of various states. The current collection has some very attractive products

2)There are a wide number of categories to choose from. Do check out the bags section-its just awesome!!! You would surely be tempted to pick one!

3) The description provided is very helpful to choose the products. I received the  product (bag)  in exactly the given dimensions and as per the descriptions given in the website.

4)  Here are some current discount offers from this website which you would get once you sign up.

5) The products I received are of great quality. I think they are totally worth the price.

6) The courier (Fed Ex) service is very prompt and  reached our place in two days and they also called before the delivery. The products were securely delivered in a card board box.

Over all I am very happy after shopping from this website-I got  nice products at reasonable prices and with most prompt delivery service. I would wish 48craft to add more traditional Indian products-like sarees, madhubani and rajasthani paintings, dokra artifacts and loadsa other stuff! I think this is also  a great endeavor to promote Indian art and should reach out to international buyers as well!!!

Be Talk: Haul from Violet Bag

Another lazy afternoon-another urge to slip beneath cozy blankets and read story books bought from book fair - another day when I feel I am neglecting my skin (I had a facial the previous day though :D :D) and then rolling onto checking some skincare stuff on the Internet! This time I hauled from VioletBag.com! 

VioletBag.com is an online shopping website that stocks a broad range of  products in skin care, hair care, bath and body, makeup categories. There are also separate sections for men, herbal products a and accessories. You can find the following brands at this website:

I placed the order on 31^st Jan night and received it today-7^th Feb by Noon. 

 This is what I ordered:

Now one thing about this delivery is that-I checked the tracking details of this shipment with the link provided by the shipping confirmation mail from VioletBag on Aramex website. Surprisingly-it said that the shipment has a Destination of Burdwan!  Now Burdwan is a place that’s over 100 kms from mine and a different district altogether!!At one time I thought it would never arrive and the package would be returned to the company! I was just about to write to Violetbag Customer care when the courier knocked my door! Aramex Couriers have twice created this weirdness although the address is clearly mentioned on the top of the box as well as on the invoice! 

I received my order in a violet box tightly wrapped with plastic.The packaging was very well made-with bubble wraps around each products and loads of thermocol cubes to secure them against breakage.

 

Also, the products (except the lipstick) have manufacturing dates within the last six months-so I am happy! 

My overall shopping experience with Violet Bag was very good-except that the courier tracking gave me a jolt with the mistaken destination. I would strongly suggest all online shopping websites to stop using Aramex-as in my own experience-I have just found it twice to botch up and delay the delivery.

Violet Bag should also add more brands in the makeup and skin care category. But I was amazed to see their fragrance section where they have a huge collection of International Brands. And hey! VB is having Valentine special Discounts and Hampers for the VDay !!! Do check them out here!

I made a small haul from Urban Touch last Thursday (15.12.2011). The shipment reached me on this Monday (19.1.2011) in two cute black boxes. I am really impressed with the prompt delivery and products with recent manufacturing dates. The transaction was totally hassle-free and what's more-I received two little freebies. Overall-my first shopping from Urban Touch really went satisfying enough to make more purchases from this website in future!!

Be Talk: Bad Buys from healthkart.com

Well-I admit-I am greedy-no-horribly greedy :D. I can’t wait till I get my hands on something everyone is talking about. I cannot bear to stay away from the buzz they are making

RESULT: I frequently get home with a month’s salary worth of useless products and in return get week’s worth of cracking rebukes from mom and dad for that.  

Latest example: My haul from HealthKart.com

So-with all the girls pst-psting on their own healthkart buys-how can I stay behind?? So on a sultry November afternoon-when I was getting bored to death-I wanted to add some spice-thought of some online shopping and searched for those brands on Healthkart-that I have NEVER used before. Ok-so the my list went like:

1) Aroma Magic China Rose Shampoo
2) Bodyography Foundation Primer Clear Tube

3) OXY Perfect Wash

I placed the order on Thursday, November 10.  After confirming the payment-I received a mail from them mentioning my product details, price total and shipping address. Next day evening, on 11.11.11, I got a mail from them-confirming the shipping of the order. I received my order on Monday-14^th November, 2011.

 

 OKAY-SO FAR SO GOOD

NOW WATCH THE FIASCO :D

 The first and weird cat that came out of the bag-is that the OXY perfect wash is a men’s facewash!!! It is no where given on the product description on the website-AND it is listed under “Beauty” AND under “Beauty” it is listed IN  “Face Care”.

So how on Merlin’s pants should I know that it is a men’s facewash ????  On the backside of the facewash tube-it is clearly mentioned as a men’s product-but NOT EVER on the product description on the HK website(see below-and compare!!!).

 Only after the arrival of the package-and noticing the back of the tube-I checked the HK website to find that OXY is ALSO listed in “Mens” products (Men’s section is also listed under BEAUTY :D)–I didn’t even check the Men’s Section while buying !!!!

The second and ugly cat-was the Aroma Magic China Rose Shampoo. 

      ITS DATE of MANUFACTURING IS 

JULY 2010!!!!

Thanks for making my Mom restate for the n-th time-how I innovate ways to waste money!

The last cat is small and cute. In fact, its too small to be happy with :( :( I was wondering if it was some free sample they sent. The  tube of the Bodyography primer is slightly longer than my pinkie But I cannot blame HK-they have mentioned the quantity-but anyway-I am just describing the kittys of surprise from my online haul.
